Really enjoyed my experience with them & this pregnancy. Dr.Hyler is one of the most enjoyable doctors I’ve encountered. Who will spend time with their patients. & easy to talk to. Will call you personally if need be.The only complaint I have with the office is them not answering their phones. Almost never do they answer or you have to call several times or early morning just to get someone to answer.Other than that I would highly recommend them.

Attempted to schedule an appointment with this office 7 times over a 3-week period by phone calls, website requests, emails, and even stopping in the office several times. When the appointment was finally scheduled, the wrong date was given in the email. The office called on the appointment day that was given in the email to inform the appointment was missed the day prior. Rescheduled appointment only to have it canceled minutes before the scheduled time and also told this practice would not perform any care with no reason given. Attempted to get answers for why Dr. Hyler & Associates LLC showed complete disrespect and disregard for the health and well-being of patients with their actions, they threatened to force a woman in her 3rd trimester to leave. Filed an official grievance against this practice with the insurance company for the disrespect and disregard they displayed. Was informed by insurance that this practice now had 3 official grievances against them, and the office manager would reach out to apologize. The office manager did not reach out; it has been months since they said they would do so.

Very thankful for the staff at this office for the kindness and care they have provided me. After having a stillbirth last year, I decided to switch to Hyler and associates and they have taken every route to find the cause of my infertility after such a terrible loss. Highly recommend

I have never left a negative review, but with the experience I had here throughout my maternity care, I feel that not leaving an honest one would be a disservice to other expectant mothers in search of OB care. “Disorganized” doesn’t even properly emphasize the absolute mess of this practice. A phone call to the office gets you nowhere. Your best option for reaching a provider is to message through the portal, where they have 72 hours to respond. Front staff is incredibly hard to reach. Their phone line would either ring for upwards of 45 minutes before an answer or it would ring 3 times and then hang up with no option to leave a voicemail. I have heard that this doesn’t seem to be as much of an issue anymore. Perhaps that is one problem they have found a solution to. When I was able to reach front staff, they rarely had answers to questions and consistently failed to refer me to someone who could help. In case of emergency, you have the choice of ER or triage, but they will not hand over the phone to a provider or even a nurse to answer any emergent questions. The portal is the best they have to offer. This is stressful as pregnancy is often plagued with anxieties that often do not require immediate medical attention, but rather guidance and reassurance from a trusted provider. You see a different midwife/ob each appointment. They will not remember you, even if you happen to see the same provider multiple times. There is a serious lack of charting!! When I failed my gestational diabetes test, it was entirely missed. Once, my midwife was confused when I asked her my results from my high-risk appointment they had sent me to. She acted as if there was no record of it or concern about it. There were more important details missing from my chart from appointment to appointment throughout my pregnancy. This disorganization lead to feeling quite unimportant/uncared for and as not much more than a patient to bill—very impersonal for a very personal matter. I have had the wrong labs ordered (still had to pay for them, then get more drawn). I was given completely false information regarding billing which caused me to go [unknowingly] uninsured for 7 months of pregnancy! A student performed a pelvic exam without verbal consent (it is, however, covered in the consent forms you sign at the beginning). She performed the exam with no words or warning at all, painful aggression (for a painless procedure), and no apology or consolation after. It was the most vulnerable and negative experience that was the cherry on top of my poor quality of care here. This was not even the extent of it. Pregnancy is an incredibly sensitive and vulnerable time, and I personally did not feel handled with care or compassion or helpful resources overall. I want to note that this review is not directed towards anyone specific, and it was not every appointment that left me disappointed. There were some positive midwifery experiences had throughout. Unfortunately, the many negative ones overshadow the positive. This review is for the management of the practice as a whole, not any individual. I am leaving three stars because the labor and delivery experience at St Vincent’s was unmatched. Completely positive delivery. It was my midwife’s first day working for Dr Hyler and she was completely wonderful (unfortunately I don’t remember her name), as well as the rest of St Vincent’s delivery staff. If you are contemplating choosing this practice for the hospital, I have to recommend that you consider a different practice that delivers here. A close friend had a similar experience to mine. I hope that these issues within the practice are soon resolved and they are able to find solutions. I do believe that these are matters that could be easily met with improvement and that the practice has much potential. Just many kinks to be worked out.

Its unfortunate that women have had bad experiences at the Middleburg location, but I have had a great experience here throughout the whole pregnancy. Very short wait times, had all my follow up appointments scheduled to my needs, & felt cared for. My appointments were quick & painless. All of the associates Ive seen (probably 4 or 5) were all great & respectful & always asked if I had any questions or concerns with anything. I would highly recommend Dr Hyler & associates as your OBGYN as long as you show up to your appointments, get all your blood work done in a timely manner, & have your insurance figured out with them it will be a great experience for you. I am scheduled for my c-section tomorrow & super excited to bring our baby boy into the world :)

My daughter went to this location in middleburg because she is pregnant with her first child. She is now 13 weeks and started bleeding. She went to the emergency room and they could not find a heartbeat doing an external sonogram and told her to see her OBGYN for an internal. She called Dr Hylers office this morning and they told her they didnt have any ultrasound openings. Dr Hyler was the head doctor 21 years ago when I my daughter and he was great, but these people he has working under him now are careless and need to learn to be a little more sympathetic when dealing with young women who are scared about whats going on!

I just called to make an appointment and because I didn’t like the staff and give the “staff” a good review my last pregnancy I could not be scheduled again. They said I abused the staff but I did no such thing I had great reviews for the dr but refused to give a good review of the staff and said everything they did wrong in my care for the review they asked me to fill out. I have health issues and specifically asked dr hyler at my 6 week appointment if he would see me for my next pregnancy and he said yes. I am trained and worked in the medical field for yrs and the staff at the middle burg office sucks and I won’t lie. The midwives, doctors and orange park office are great. Well doctors were great till dr hyler flat out lied because he said he had no issues of me being a patient now no because I was vocal on my review the staff in middleburg sucks. I never said anything to anyone in his office I was very respectful. This is ridiculous!!!!

Solely to Middleburg location. Bad communication leading to wasted time and lots of frustration. Informations that could have been sent over the phone, email or text clearly can’t be achieved with this practice. It’s disheartening to even have patients appointment been cancelled after giving out their urine sample. Upon rescheduling two weeks after in office and pre registering online for another, driving all the way to the office, checking in and had to be told your insurance is no longer accepted is a very stupid way of communication and wast of time. I believe there are better practices out there. Certainly not this one.

Dr. Ayuso is the best OBGYN I’ve ever had. Caring, compassionate, and truly listens. Finding a great doctor seems to be nearly impossibly nowadays, but I feel so blessed to have finally found a doctor who really listens to my concerns. He’s great at explaining things and I feel like I’ve left my appointments with more knowledge/education of how my body works and why things happen, etc.

This review pertains solely to the Middleburg location, as I have had only good experiences at the Kingsley location.I arrived for my annual exam and was promptly checked in. When brought to the exam room, I was instructed to undress and wait under a paper covering and sheet for the doctor.I waited in the exam room, undressed, for more than thirty minutes.I was so frustrated with my treatment (or lackthereof) I redressed and left. I called the office from the car and was told the doctor had an emergency.Thats fine - emergencies do happen - but someone should have stepped in to explain there would be a potentially uncomfortable wait or offer for me to reschedule. No patient should be left alone and naked without interaction or explanation as I was. I will not return to this location and am still amazed and disgusted this happened.

Dr Ayuso - super awesome guy and very helpful. Answers all my questions and more!!But the office staff at the front desk is still highly disappointing minus the office manager herself shes doing alright. They should record calls by all means due to the young ladies at the front taking calls.I LOVE this hospital for labor/delivery.. but this is my first time with this OB/Midwife team and Im not happy. It took me going to the ER for them to return my phone call and they still didnt speak on any of my concerns. I will probably stop going to my appointments after tomorrow. If I feel like Im going overdue Ill give them a call but otherwise they dont seem to care anyways.

Do not waste your time with this office . Not at all professional or even caring at their job. They cancel appointments when you’re waiting already . Im a high risk patient and they canceled my appt 25 minutes before I was supposed to see the doctor. Lots of questions that were unanswered. This place has went downhill these last few years . Dr hyler is not the issue it’s his ASSOCIATES. It’s really run like a 🤡 circus

After trying to get a refill of my birth control, they didnt return any calls to my pharmacy. When I called them I couldnt get ahold of them for days, and at that point was off of my birth control for a bit. I went from having 4 refills, to none. When I called them, after 4 attempts they finally answered and told me it was an insurance problem. They told me Id have to come in for an appointment before I could get any refills. The appointment was a week away, and when arguing for a sooner date they wouldnt budge and said it was the only way for a refill. I came in for the appointment, and as I was in the parking lot, 10 minutes before my appointment, they called and canceled. My mom argued with them about how Ive been off my birth control and its giving me horrible headaches and cramps, and all the sudden they put a refill through despite the claims of it being insurance.

Dr. Ayuso = 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Office staff (disgraceful) = 1 🌟Dr. Andres Ayuso is THE best gyn. doctor Ive seen in years. He genuinely cares & treated me with respect. I felt like I was speaking with a fellow college classmate. He answered any question I had and I truly felt like he not only listened but HEARD me. So happy with his professionalism & great bedside manner. Only reason for 4 stars is the office staff is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Many many difficulties with them. They may show kindness but never seem to be able to communicate or get the job done correctly. Example, When the office staff couldnt find my reports and ultrasounds (faxed to them WEEKS before appointment) Dr. A. did the work FOR them & found them on his own. He even appologized for my extra waiting because he was handling getting my reports etc.there were MANY failures from office staff but Dr. Ayuso was the BEST ... 5 stars for him 1 star for office staff (disgraceful)

I had a baby 4 years ago and have had multiple procedures with this practice. Dr Hyler was absolutely AMAZING during delivery and with the procedures I had done. However, this year, I had to have a hysterectomy. The staff worked well at getting me scheduled for the date I needed. I had my surgery the day before thanksgiving. I had to call the on call dr after surgery and it took 2 calls and 2 hours to get a response. Then, I went for my post op (which they had canceled my apt the day before 1 hour prior to my apt and double booked me the following day) and I expressed that My husband had said that I was extremely “hormonal” and was dismissed by the dr. About 1.5 hours I started with hot flashes... their office was closed. I called back on Monday requesting something to help with that. I never received a return call. Then, I ended up with a uti and then yeast infection. I called their office on Monday again and today is Wednesday, I still have not heard from them. I will be finding a new OB/GYN. I am a provider myself, and if I treated my pts the way that I have been treated, I wouldn’t expect to have any pts. Maybe their office just has too many pts for their staff to manage.

I never seen the dr until I delivered the baby. I had a urinary tract infection for over a month and I kept telling them my symptoms which they ignored. One of the nurses actually went as far as saying that if I had one that I would have already went to the er.Once i got a referral from the high risk doctor to be tested at the lab i tested positive for urinary tract. They didnt do labs like they were supposed to. You see different people all the time. Can never get a hold of the doctor. Ive had 4 csections, my fourth one with hyler and it was the most painful one of all and it took 3 weeks to get a refill on pain meds. They blamed the insurance. Insurance blamed them. Pharmacy blamed them. Now I cant even get them to prescribe me any birth control or anything. Worst experience ever. I like dr hyler he actually delivered my 3rd baby. But his office staff in the middleburg office is a joke. However I had a better experience with the office in orange park 2 years ago. Definitely getting another doctor.North florida obgyn is no better either!

After a terrible experience at their Kingsley location I gave them one more shot since they are the only OBs that deliver at this hospital. Turns out Dr. Hylers office on Kingsley is a just a hot mess. This office is much better! Staff are always helpful and informative. I get answers to questions fairly promptly and never feel like I dont matter. I was a little panicked at my ultrasound until I told the tech what Id been through at the other office, she was super sympathetic and made sure I had good pictures to take home to tell our family. Im frustrated with my pregnancy but its not their fault really, Im high risk for many reasons. I just wish they handled high-risk obstetrics in-house rather than referring to the ROC.

My experience here was very routine. In and out appointments throughout my pregnancy. Urine, vitals, ultrasound doppler and follow up appt. I informed the multiple obgyns there that I had no appetite and when they saw my chart they knew I had trouble putting on weight. They labeled me high risk and had my baby closely monitored which was appreciated but never accessed my symptoms. I kept being told that being sick meant I was still pregnant which is a good thing. Turns out I had hyperemesis gravidarum. The name is awful because it means excessive vomiting but the condition can affect your overall appetite and not every patient will vomit constantly. Just like morning sickness doesnt always occur in the morning. Btw this condition is not morning sickness. I was nauseous constantly and fought it with a vengeance. Always had dry mouth. Had to have my heart monitored for palpitations. Had dizziness and risk of fainting. They all made it seem normal to be miserable while pregnant. Now Im pregnant again and vomiting uncontrollably and have just received a proper diagnosis. Had I been aware of this prior I would not have allowed myself to get pregnant again. I was seen at this practice throughout my pregnancy and for 9 months this was undiagnosed. More doctors should be aware of this instead of dismissing the mothers symptoms. Hyperemesis.org provides more information for patients and healthcare providers.
